How should a bald-headed person shave or shorten their hair? كيف يحلق الأصلع

All praise is due to Allah alone, and may the Salah and Salam of Allah be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family and his companions. To answer your question, we say while seeking all the success from Allah: Jurists said that it is recommended for the bald-headed to pass the razor over the head, and Ibn al-Mundhir reported that this ruling is a matter of agreement between scholars. However, it was reported that Abu Hanifah held the view that it is obligatory. The most correct view is that it is recommended because if a person is bald headed then neither shaving nor shortening are applicable to him. The reason it is recommended for the bald headed to pass the razor over the head is so that the ritual is performed though some scholars believe that it is not even recommended as there is no benefit in doing it.
