As to what follows: In response to your question, we say:   How do I give Zakat for different kinds of gold for personal use? The fact that the gold is of different types does not affect the compulsoriness of Zakat if we say that it is compulsory to give Zakat on gold for personal use. It is known that the scholars have two opinions on the issue: The first opinion: It is compulsory to give Zakat on gold for personal use. This is the opinion of the Hanafites, and it was chosen by a number of scholars. The second opinion: It is not compulsory to give Zakat on gold for personal use, and this is the opinion held by the majority of the scholars.   Based on the first opinion, if all the gold that a woman possesses is eight-five grams in weight or above, she should give out 2.5% of the gold or the equivalent of this value for Zakat.
