Indeed all praise is due to Allah, we praise Him, seek His help, and ask for His forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evil of ourselves and actions. Whoever Allah guides, none can mislead, but he whom He leads astray you will never find for him a protecting guide. I bear witness that none is worthy of worship except Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. May Allah’s peace and blessings be on Muhammad, his companions, and those who follow him in goodness until the Day of Judgment.                                                                                    To proceed:   The most truthful words are in the book of Allah, and the best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad (peace be upon him). The most evil matters are the new events [in the religion], and every new event is an innovation [in the religion], and every innovation is a misguidance.   O believers! Seek refuge in Allah from temptation. For verily, temptation destroys the mind, grows the eye blindand render good deeds vain. “Is he, then, to whom the evil of his deeds made fairseeming, so that he considers it as good (equal to one who is rightly guided)? Verily, Allah sends astray whom He wills, and guides whom He wills. So destroy not yourself (O Muhammad) in sorrow for them. Truly, Allah is the All Knower of what they do!” [Faatir: 8]. Huthayfah Ibn al-Yaman (May Allah be pleased with him) said: “Pure alcohol is a temptation which affects people and intoxicate them to a high degree.”   A person is judged during his days of tribulations *** Because he sees as good that which is not good.   Imam Ahmad and Ibn Majah transmit a hadith on the authority of Abu Musa who said that the Messenger of Allah (peace be on him) said: “Before the Hour comes there will be Harj.” I said: “O Messenger of Allah, what is Harj?” He said: “Killing.” Some of the Muslims said: “O Messenger of Allah, now we kill such and such a number of idolaters in one year.” The Messenger of Allah (peace be on him) said: “That will not be like killing the idolaters, rather you will kill one another, until a man will kill his neighbour and son of the cousin and a relative.” Some of the people said: “O Messenger of Allah, will we be in our right minds that day?” The Messenger of Allah (peace be on him) said: “No, reason will be taken away from most of the people at that time, and there will be left the insignificant people who have no reason.” Meaning to say people won’t be having sound reason or guidance or righteousness because Satan would have gained mastery over their hearts and managed to tempt them. This is what the Messenger of Allah (peace be on him) meant.   O believers! Indeed the worst deviation from what is right after associating partners with Allah is taking a life which Allah has made sacred. For that reason, the Messenger of Allah (peace be on him) strictly forbade that and instructed that caution should be taken on risky or fighting situations. To this end, Allah Almighty says: “O you who believe! When you go (to fight) In the Cause of Allah, verify (the truth), and say not to anyone who greets you (by embracing Islam): "You are not a believer".” [al-Nisaa’: 94]. In this verse, Allah made a mere greeting of peace a necessity for taking precaution and refraining from fighting the person who extends the greeting on the battle ground. Nay, but the instruction is beyond that, for saying there is none worthy of worship except Allah during fighting saves the blood of the person who utters that. In Sahih Muslim, there is a narration which says that Miqdad Ibn al-Aswad said to the Messenger of Allah (peace be on him): “If I encountered a person amongst the infidels (in the battlefield) and he attacked me and struck me and cut off one of my hands with the sword. Then he (in order to protect himself from me) took shelter of a tree and said: I become Muslim for Allah's sake. Messenger of Allah, can I kill him after he had uttered this? The Messenger of Allah (peace be on him) said: Do not kill him. I (the narrator) said: Messenger of Allah, he cut off my hand and uttered this after amputating it; should I then kill him? The Messenger of Allah (peace be on him) said: Don't kill him, for if you kill him, verily he would be in a position where you had been before killing him and verily you would be in a position where he had been before uttering those words.” What would have been the situation if the Prophet (peace be upon him) had seen the heads of people being struck and cut off yet they would be saying, "Laa ilaaha illa Allah" repeatedly? Bukhari transmits a hadith on the authority of Anas Ibn Malik who said: “Whenever the Prophet (peace be on him) went out with us to fight (in Allah's cause) against any nation, he never allowed us to attack till morning and he would wait and see: if he heard Adhan he would postpone the attack and if he did not hear Adhan he would attack them.”      The wording used by Muslim is: “The Messenger of Allah (peace be on him) used to attack the enemy when it was dawn. He would listen to the Adhan; so if he heard an Adhan, he stopped, otherwise made an attack. Once on hearing a man say: Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, the Messenger of Allah (peace be on him) remarked: He is following al-Fitra (al-Islam). Then hearing him say: I testify that there is no god but Allah. There is no god but Allah, the Messenger of Allah (peace be on him) said: You have come out of the Fire (of Hell). They looked at him and found that he was a goat herd.”   What would have happened if the Prophet (peace be upon him) had seen a person wearing a deadly belt of explosives, then he comes to the mosque where people have gathered, answered the call of Allah, bowing and prostrating to Allah, then he blows himself up among them? What is the position of those who make mischief with regards to the hadith transmitted by Ibn Majah and others on the authority of Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) who said that the Messenger of Allah (peace be on him) said: “I have been prohibited from killing people who pray.” Or what is their position with regards to the narration of Buhkari and Muslim on the authority of Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri who reported a story of a man who said to the Messenger of Allah (peace be on him): Fear Allah! Then the Messenger of Allah (peace be on him) responded: Woe to you! Am I not of all the people on the earth the most entitled to fear Allah? That man then returned.  Khalid Ibn al-Walid then said: Messenger of Allah, should I not strike his neck? Upon this he (the Holy Prophet) said: Perhaps he may be observing the prayer.” O believers! The most harmful temptation and severely dangerous to Islam during this time is the temptation of judging others as disbelievers which is done be mischievous people who judge Muslims as disbelievers and ignoramuses and make their blood lawful and view them as people who are most deserving of being killed. Those extremists (who judge Muslims as disbelievers) are the worst creation in the sight of Allah. While describing them, the Messenger of Allah (peace be on him) said: “Verily there would arise from my Ummah after me or soon after me a group (of people) who would recite the Qur'an, but it would not go beyond their throats, and they would pass clean through their religion just as the arrow passes through the prey, and they would never come back to it. They would be the worst among the creation and the creatures.” In another narration by Muslim on the authority of ‘Ubaydullah IbnAbi Rafi’ who heard from ‘Ali (may Allah be pleased with them), who said that the Messenger of Allah (peace be on him) said: “they are from the most hateful from among the creation of Allah.” They are the worst because they obstruct men from the way of Allah and harm His friends despite claiming that they are the most knowledgeable with regards to belief and strictly adhere to the Quran, so they err and lead others astray. The Ummah has remained in temptation because of them since the time of the companions till today.   O believers! Part of misguidedness of these people and Satan’s playing tricks on them by making their evil works and beliefs look pleasing to them is that they regard killing people who are praying as a great victory and the best jihad. This is not a new way of getting astray but they repeat the errors of their predecessors and other enemies of Islam who are like them. ·        The polytheists of Makkah used to throw dirt at the Messenger of Allah while he was prostrating on the Ka’bah till Allah protected him from them. ·        The polytheists of Mecca killed the allies of the Prophet (peace be upon him) from the tribe of Khuza'ah while they were praying. One of them sought the help of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and he recited the following verses of poetry: I am calling upon Muhammad our father's ally He went on to say: They came to us at night *** They killed us while we were bowing and prostrating. Then Allah granted a clear victory, and He enabled His noble prophet to conquer Mecca ·         Abu Lu’ Lu’ the Magian killed the leader of the believers al-Faruq while he was performing Fajr prayer with people in the pulpit of the Prophet’s Mosque. ·        One of their predecessors, an outlaw by the name ‘Abdul Rahman Ibn Muljim ambushed the leader of believers, ‘Ali Ibn Abi Talib (May Allah be pleased with him) and killed him while he was coming out from performing Fajr prayer. ·        Another outlaw, ‘Amr Ibn Bakr waylaid ‘Amr Ibn al-‘As who did not go to perform prayer because he had fallen sick and delegated Kharija Ibn Huthafa al-’Adawi who was killed by the outlaw during prayer thinking that it was ‘Amr. O believers! Someone who has belief and Islam in his heart does not have the audacity to attack people who are praying, that is why that was not done except by the infidels, polytheists, hypocrites and perverts who are not enlightened by the light of knowledge and do not resort to solid principles. O Allah, protect us from perversion and temptation.     SECOND SERMON   Indeed all praise is due to Allah, we praise Him, seek His help, and ask for His forgiveness. To proceed:   Fear Allah O believers! O servants of Allah! Indeed the enemies of Islam will spare no effort in harming Muslim countries and killing Muslims in every way, and verily your country is an Islamic stronghold. In it there is the direction faced in prayer towards Ka’ba and the Mosque of the Prophet who established the religion of Islam and honored the symbols of Allah according to his ability. Do not spare any effort in doing what honors Islam and Muslims. And verily, Allah made it safe and stable and He gave it richness and a good economy that those who are envious had a speck in their eyes and haters had a lump on their throat. For that reason its share of the enemies of Allah is greater than any other Islamic country. Mischief makers are striving to destroy it in every way but we have conviction in Allah that He does not uphold the work of mischief makers and that Allah will frustrate the efforts of these terrorists who spread mischief on earth and they are not going to reform. From these enemies are those who judge Muslims as disbelievers (Takfiris) who have become in the eyes of the enemies of Allah a tool used to undermine the country of the Two Holy Mosques, The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. From their evil efforts are the acts being done by The Islamic State of Syria and Levant (ISIL) like bombings aimed at destabilizing the security of this country. Their latest crime is the bombing of the Emergency Security Forces’ Mosque in Asir region while soldiers were performing Noon prayer on the twenty first of Shawwal.  Allah is enough for us and may He have mercy upon those who passed away and accept them as martyrs and quickly heal those who were injured and grant patience to their relatives and ourselves for indeed we are all hurt. O believers! There is nothing worse than the crime of bombing a house from the houses of Allah and killing those who are performing prayer except the deviant and corrupt thought of doing such acts which Satan makes alluring after planning and falsely making it appear is if it is jihad and courage but in reality it is destruction, treason, deviation and wrongdoing which is supported by every enemy of this blessed country and rejoiced by haters. But we say to ISIL and those behind them who hate Islam: you will lose and fail; today we are more aware of your perversion and the deviation of your approach. Your flag has fallen and your perversion is now clear to the world, where are you from the Prophet’s approach? You follow a deviant and wrong approach. You follow an approach of infidelity and disloyalty. Today, all praise and gratitude be to Allah, we have a bigger and stronger group with a tough resolve in the face of your plot and deceit. We further say to them: indeed your targeting of our Security Forces is targeting us all and you shall find us in a single battle array in face of your aggression. O believers! O believers, we are indeed being targeted in our religion, in our leadership, in our security, in our earnings, in our gatherings and in everything that we enjoy from the religious and secular blessings, therefore, let us all be united against the spiteful aggressors and oppressors so that we become trusted guardsmen and vigilant troops as well as helpers of our security men in thwarting all those who seek corruption and evil in our country. May Allah protect us, our belief, our leadership, our unity and our nation. استهداف المصلين سبيل المجرمين
