Masturbation during the day in Ramadan

Praise be to Allah, and may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, his family and his companions. Wa alaikum assalam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. As to what follows: In response to your question, we say: I ask Allah to forgive me and you. What you did in ejaculating during the day in Ramadan nullifies your fasting and you will not attain what the Prophet (peace be upon him) mentioned that that “whoever fasts in the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith, and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven". What is imperative upon you is to strive in doing good and be far-removed from things which excite the desire and temptation as much as you can. As for your question concerning breaking fast during the day in which you were fasting to make up for the fasts that you had broken; that is allowed because it is permitted to break a compulsory fast due to sickness or travel. Thus you should make up once for the day that you broke your fast in Ramadan and not twice (i.e., if you break your fast on one day you fast one day to make up for it and not two days).
